Pre-Congress Tours

Start your IGC2027 in the field – experience Europe’s grassland diversity first-hand on expertly guided excursions.

The multi-day Pre-Congress Tours run in the days before the congress and conclude in Leipzig on 12 June 2027, offering an immersive introduction to grassland research, farming, and conservation. The routes will span the Alpine regions of Switzerland, Austria, and southern Germany, as well as the Netherlands and north-western and north-eastern Germany, with visits to research stations and experimental sites, universities and research institutes, farms and dairies, biodiversity observatories, and landscape management projects. The tours provide an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas directly with scientists, practitioners, and land managers while experiencing the region’s diverse agricultural and natural landscapes.

These tours are not included in the general congress registration and must be purchased separately. Detailed itineraries, logistics, and capacity limits will be published in due course; registration will open alongside congress registration.
