Call for Sessions

Scientific sessions

IGC 2027 welcomes proposals for sessions related to the themes of grassland production and utilization, grassland-based livestock systems, ecosystem functioning and services, socio-economy of grassland systems and grassland policies and transformation of grassland systems. By submitting a session proposal, you agree to act as the session convenor for that session.

Session proposals will be reviewed and selected by the Scientific Committee. Once accepted, sessions will be featured on the submission webpage and congress program. Abstract submissions will get linked to specific sessions by the applicants. Session and conference organizers may suggest reassignments of contributions to ensure thematic coherence.

Responsibilities of session convenors

  • Convenors must attend the congress in person in Leipzig, Germany.

  • There is no reduced conference fee for convenors.

  • Convenors are expected to actively network prior to the conference to acquire relevant oral presenters for their session topic.

  • Convenors are responsible for reviewing the abstracts submitted to their session, must nominate one co-organizer, and, if necessary, communicate directly with the presenters.

  • Convenors ensure smooth organization and strict timing of their session during the conference
